Our Story
What started as a passion for growing lavender became a commitment to creating products we would proudly use in our own home. Many lavender products begin with oils purchased from large commercial suppliers. Ours don't.
Every bottle begins in our own fields in Traverse City, Michigan, where our family grows lavender without pesticides and harvests each plant by hand at peak bloom. The flowers are carefully dried before being traditionally steam distilled by our family in small batches to preserve their natural aroma, purity, and therapeutic properties.
From harvesting each lavender stem by hand to distilling every batch ourselves, filling bottles, and tying lavender bundles, nearly every product that leaves our farm has passed through our family's hands.
It's slower. It's more work.
But we believe that's exactly what creates exceptional lavender.

Lavender is grown and harvested by hand.
Unlike large commercial operations, we hand harvest every stem at peak bloom to ensure maximum fragrance, color, and oil content. This hands-on approach allows us to select only the highest-quality lavender for our products.

Plants move through drying and processing.
Proper drying is essential to preserving the natural aroma and quality of lavender. We carefully dry and process each harvest to maintain the characteristics that make our lavender distinctive long after it leaves the field.

Essential oils and hydrosol’s are distilled.
Our lavender is distilled in small batches using traditional steam distillation. By overseeing the entire process ourselves, we maintain complete control over quality and ensure every bottle reflects the character of our farm-grown lavender.

Our lavender hydrosol is created during the steam distillation process used to produce our essential oil. As steam passes through the lavender flowers, it captures the plant's aromatic and water-soluble compounds, resulting in a light, refreshing floral water.
Gentler than essential oil, hydrosol offers a subtle lavender scent and can be used throughout the home as a refreshing mist for linens, rooms, and fabrics.
